Reunion of Mexico Mission Trip Team ‘08 - Let’s meet on Saturday, July 12th from 6:30-9:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Jordan with how many members of your family will attend and bring a Mexican food dish to share for the meal. Bring your photos.

Mexico Mission Trip Goers and Senders Celebration – One and all, gather for Pastor John’s 9:30 Bible class in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, July 13th. The ‘08 team who went to Mexico will share photos, a video, stories, and mementos with those who sent us.

Beat the Heat with Summer Bowling - Everyone is invited to attend a night of bowling at 6:00 pm on August 2nd, at the Dart Bowl, 5700 Grover Ave. We’ll fuel up with some of the best enchiladas in town at the Dart Bowl restaurant and then hit the lanes at 7:00 pm. Don’t forget to sign up in the narthex! Thirty bowlers are needed to make advance lane reservations. If you need additional information, contact Jesse or Michelle Bennight at 444-1840.

The Blood Mobile will be at Christ Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 13th from 8:30 to 12:30. Due to the great need for blood during the summer months, the blood center is running a promotion. Any donor who attempts to donate at one of their mobile drives during the months of June, July and August will be eligible to win one of two $500 gift cards from Southwest Airlines. This will be in addition to earning points in their Hands of the Donor program. You may sign up on line at www.lonestardonor.com and use the sponsor code SoCo.

Vacation Bible School - Come Discover Jesus' Miraculous Power in the upcoming Vacation Bible School "Power Lab,” Sunday, July 20th to Thursday, July 24th, from 6:15 to 8:30 pm. Ages 3 years to students entering 5th grade are welcome to participate in classes. Older students are encouraged to volunteer to be on lab crews. There will also be an adult VBS program during that time. On Monday through Thursday, there will be a light meal served in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 5:30. There will not be a meal Sunday evening. Look for a posting of supplies and donated items needed for the program soon. If you are interested in joining the lab crews, please contact Jordan Boessling (familylife@christaustin.org or 442-5844) or Alice Werchan (ajwakw@sbcglobal.net or 280-3263). Look for registration forms in the narthex or the church website (www.christaustin.org).

Use of Pew Envelopes: If you use an envelope from the back of the pew for your offering, please be sure to print your name on the envelope so that it can be properly recorded.

FOOD DRIVE: Please notice our food barrel in the narthex. Each week as you prepare to come feed upon the bounty of God’s word remember that there are many struggling to put food on their tables. As you are able and blessed by God, please bring along to worship a non-perishable food item and place it into the barrel. This food is given to one of the food banks for distribution. Through this simple regular practice we can do much to help those in their time of need. “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat ...” Jesus.
