This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4: 10-11. NIV

Activities and News
Mark your calendars! Vacation Bible School will be Sunday, July 19th through Thursday, July 23rd, in the evenings, in the Fellowship Hall. “Crocodile Dock, Where Fearless Kids Shine” is the theme for kids ages 3 years to 5th grade. There will be music, crafts, games, bible lessons, fun and laughter and snacks. Invite your family and friends to come join us in this week of fun and learning. In the church sanctuary, at the same time, will be Adult VBS featuring Concordia University-Texas Campus Pastor, Dr. Bruce Peffer. Pastor Peffer has been a guest Pastor at our church in the past. He will be discussing “Christian Art In Our Lives: It’s Meaning and Symbolism.” A light meal will be served prior to the beginning of the lessons each evening (except Sunday). Swamp guide volunteers are needed. Please contact Alice Werchan (280-3263 or ajwakw@sbcglobal.net) or Jordan for more information. Use these two links to access registration forms online. Art Camp - We are hosting an Art Camp with Redeemer at Christ’s Workshop on Tuesday-Thursday, June 30th - July 2nd, from 9:00 am -11:00 am. This class is for children finishing 3rd-5th grade. The cost is $20. Registration is limited. The lessons will be mobiles, pastels, acrylic painting, and t-shirts. Pray that this will reach out to our neighborhood. Invite families you know. Contact Jordan to sign up. Youth are invited to volunteer.
Use of Pew Envelopes: If you use an envelope from the back of the pew for your offering, please be sure to print your name on the envelope so that it can be properly recorded.
FOOD DRIVE: Please notice our food barrel in the narthex. Each week as you prepare to come feed upon the bounty of God’s word remember that there are many struggling to put food on their tables. As you are able and blessed by God, please bring along to worship a non-perishable food item and place it into the barrel. This food is given to one of the food banks for distribution. Through this simple regular practice we can do much to help those in their time of need. “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat ...” Jesus.
Remember to keep supporting the youth group through the use of the Randall's Remarkable Card. Our identification number is #4162.
